Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

Re: Relevance
2022In the process of restaging an institutional scene, Re:Relevance deals with the question of how political and aesthetic issues condense over the years (or in the course of a friendly dispute) or even seemingly disappear, only to suddenly reappear in the middle of the room as a stale memory, a mysterious dream or a repressed phenomenon, unresolved and claiming the present. The conditions under which the work on discourses on cultural production and artistic relevance takes place - which, like that on history, only happens to a limited extent "of its own free will [and] not under self-chosen, but under directly found, given and handed-down circumstances"(1)* - are put up for discussion. *(1) Karl Marx: Der 18. Brumaire des Louis Bonaparte, in: MEW / Marx-Engels-Werke Bd. 8: August 1851 bis März 1853, Berlin: Dietz, 2009.
