Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
In these paintings, domestic objects take on the role of characters, forming a new tableau from one painting to the next. Each painting presents me with new visual problems to solve. A precarious, subconscious logic guides my way to solutions. Temperature, seasons, and time of day become central themes as the painted atmosphere emerges. In this invented world, interior and exterior spaces can be conflated. A rising sun turns out to be a fried egg; a stove burner in the form of a crescent moon is nestled amongst a constellation of drips. Forks and spoons jut from the earth like weeds. A brush stroke contains its own story while pointing to something else. Multiple realities coexist.
