Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
In these paintings, ordinary objects take on the role of characters, forming a new tableau from one painting to the next. Often, a painting shifts away from the original reference source, no longer a straightforward depiction of reality but instead developing a world of its own through the interaction of forms and textures within its rectangular boundary. Temperature, seasons, and time of day become central themes as the painted atmosphere emerges. Each painting presents me with new visual problems to solve. A precarious, subconscious logic guides my way to solutions.
