Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
My work draws out the connections between material forms and social content that have been obscured by dominant narratives and conventional processes. I work through a kind of conceptual materialism that engages lost elements of imagination and production to show the potentials that have been suppressed. The resulting work challenges the distinction between abstraction and representation, engages the division between object-based and socially-engaged practices, and renders visible content that has been stifled by configurations of power. Through this multilayered approach, my work makes productive use of contradictions, giving form to the repressed layers of the past in order to create new possibilities for the future.
