Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
In this recent group of work, I have attempted to get away from direct depiction and instead focus on
making marks with larger brushes, to let the marks “be” and bring out the conversation that goes on
among them which ends up forming the content of the work. When the conversations seem clear, I
stop. I try and modulate the color relationships as well and make that part of the communication. I
don’t mix color much and try and resist the impulse to depict. My hope is that I can preserve a
freshness so that the work becomes more of a contribution.
