Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
My work explores the internal nature of image and form through an intimate interplay of colour and material substance in painting. Working primarily in oil paint on linen, canvas or wood at close scale, I engage resonant elements, both from my surroundings and found internally, as a way to inform possibilities for response and transformation within the space of painting and seeing.
Each painting ground is prepared slightly differently with various layers, either with drawing materials, or subtle flower and mineral essences made in water. Over time, colour and surface interact through processes like sanding, scraping, rinsing, or layering, evoking different spaces, tones, and figures in material substance.
Each painting follows its own path, often becoming visually complex before finding resolution through refinement and ordering. This process continues until its quality is precise—capable of directly reflecting something inside the way it is made or encountered.
