Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
Erin Hunt is a Canadian artist living and working on Fogo Island, NL. Hunt's intimate-scale oil paintings are informed by found objects, visual ephemera, elemental nature and noetic experience. They reveal themselves through a distinctive language of colour and material relationships, exploring the emergent nature of form and image within painting.
In 2025 Hunt was long listed for the Sobey Art Award. She has presented work at the Bonavista Biennale, Newfoundland, The Rooms, St. John's, The Plumb, Toronto, Fogo Island Art Gallery, Fogo Island, JK Contemporary, Fogo Island, The Painting Center, New York, Front Gallery, Houston. Hunt's practice has been generously supported by Canada Council for the Arts, and her work is held in both private and public collections including The Rooms and the City of Ottawa, ON.
