Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
Rebekah Joy Yue-Ming Baker 龔悅明
b. 1999 Los Angeles, currently living in Chicago
Multi-disciplinary artist utilizing scientific and creative strategies to engage in material exploration. Using repetition and intricate techniques, I create works grounded in our relationship with the material world; exploring in an effort to understand materials at all scales—investing time, labor, and research as a process of care. I investigate these objects and materials as records and view my work as research, documentation, and products of processes of understanding. Interested in both making and conservation, my art practice and professional ambitions seek to understand how materials behave throughout time, how they shape us as we shape them, and identify what is worth holding on to.
