Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
Juyi Mao (b. 1991, Hefei, China) is a visual artist and filmmaker based in Brooklyn, New York. He holds an MFA from Maryland Institute College of Art and a BA from Xiamen University.
His work has been presented at prestigious institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, UCCA Center for Contemporary Art, CAFA Art Museum, Anthology Film Archives, Argos Centre for Audiovisual Arts, and La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club. His films have screened at major international festivals, notably Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, Reykjavík International Film Festival, B3 Festival of Moving Image, and Channels Festival International Biennial of Video Art.
Mao is a 2023 MacDowell Film/Video Fellow and has completed residencies at Millay Arts, NARS Foundation, and Vermont Studio Center. His practice has been supported by grants from the New York State Council on the Arts, United States Artists, The New York Foundation for the Arts, The Foundation for Contemporary Arts, and Queens Council on the Arts.
