The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME

Katie Ford (b. 1988) is an interdisciplinary artist merging materials and images to explore the unstable nature of the body and digital culture. Ford holds a BFA in Printmaking and Drawing from Washington University in St. Louis and an MFA in Visual Art from the University of Georgia. Her work has been supported by artist residencies at the Icelandic Textile Center (Blönduós, Iceland), the Women’s Studio Workshop (Rosendale, NY), and Elsewhere (Greensboro, NC), among others. She has exhibited at institutions including Printed Matter (NY, NY), the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art (New Paltz, NY), Wassaic Project (Wassaic, NY), iMOCA, (Indianapolis, IN), Neue Welte (Nashville, TN), and Swan Coach House Gallery (Atlanta, GA). She is currently based in Brooklyn, NY, where she is a Visiting Instructor at Pratt Institute.
