The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

Bio
Hiroyuki Nakamura Born in 1977. I was raised in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture in Japan. As a kid, I developed a love for trains and began taking photographs around the first grade of elementary school, and in 1989, when I was in the fifth grade, I moved to the United States for his father's work. I lived in the US (Chicago, IL-Culver, IN-Philadelphia, PA-Brooklyn, NY ) until September 2016. In 2002 I graduated from the School of Visual Arts. I started painting around 2004, and worked in New York until moving to Sapporo in October 2016. My first solo exhibition was in 2006 when I stayed in Iceland as an artist in residence. Currently I am living and working in Sapporo.
