Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
Steph Zimmerman is a Fort Wayne, Indiana-born artist and educator based in Catskill, NY. Through assemblage and collage, she defamiliarizes common organic and mass-produced materials to explore their sensory and performative potential within new relationships.
Her work has been shown at venues including the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, MO; Bemis Center For Contemporary Arts, NE; Westbeth Gallery, NY; Gallery 263, MA; Stowaway LA, CA; Granite City Art and Design District, IL; Ki Smith Gallery, NY; and The Luminary, MO, among others.
She has attended residencies at Atlantic Center for the Arts, Vermont Studio Center, Arteles Creative Center, and Paul Artspace and is a recipient of a Creative Stimulus Award from Critical Mass for the Visual Arts and an Artist Support Grant from St. Louis’ Regional Arts Commission.
She is currently a Visiting Artist-in-Residence at Bard College and lectures in Art & Design at Rutgers University. She holds an MFA in Art and Design from Rutgers University and a BFA in Digital Media and Photography from Washington University in St. Louis.
