Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
Rachel Yanku lives and works in Ridgewood, NY. She makes abstract wooden sculptures through deconstruction and assemblage. Her practice is influenced by her background studying dance at Bennington College, as well as her time teaching at a preschool. In 2021, she started a pop up gallery called Art Show Projects. Periodically, she curates and hosts group shows in her apartment and friend’s backyards. Her project centers the artist’s current interests as well as community. Yanku’s curation expanded to Wisconsin this Fall; her first project in a gallery space, The Real Tinsel Gallery. Her first solo show was at Evil Twins Gallery in 2023 and has been featured in group shows at NADA, Popgun Gallery, Weather Proof Gallery, Morris Adjmi Architects, Bullet Space, Field of Play Gallery, Short Stop Gallery, Deli Gallery, 334 Broome Gallery, Site and The Chicken Coop Space.
