Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
Su Ji Lee is a Brooklyn-based artist working with photography, installation, and puzzles. Starting her photographic journey in Seoul, South Korea, her works focus on evoking intimacy in unfamiliar surroundings and sharing visual experiences that transcend geographical boundaries and residential disparity. The still lives are seen as ephemeral sculptures, assembled only to be dismantled after being captured by the lens. With an inherent perception of space as a flat property, she fabricates anonymous yet effable visual cues into a blueprint of the manipulated reality.
Su Ji holds a BFA in Photography from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. Select awards include the 2025 Exhibition Grant by Project Space Sarubia, 2023 A4 What Can We Do? Grant, 2021 Made in NYC Photography Fellowship, and the 2020 Feature Shoot Emerging Photography Awards. Her works have been shown in various group exhibitions, including at Baxter St at Camera Club of NY, Queens Botanical Garden, Aperture Gallery, Silver Eye Lab, and more. Featured publications are the British Journal of Photography, VOSTOK Magazine, PHMuseum, ZERO.NINE Magazine, and more.
