Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
I am a child of artists from a family of craftspeople and was privileged to grow up surrounded by art and handmade objects. My childhood home had a pottery studio, a photography darkroom, and carpentry tools. I was free to explore various art modalities. I often worked alongside my father in his studio creating in clay and helping him at art and craft fairs.
Before becoming a mother, I worked as a silversmith for 10 years making and selling jewelry.
It was having children that brought me back to clay. The limited time to create and ample space to daydream, the slow in-limbo hours of nursing and caring for a baby allowed me the space to find the path to sculpture. I use Catalina as a place name; my childhood home faced the Santa Catalina mountains; my current home faces the Santa Catalina mountains. It represents home to me, and my art is about this home.
