The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME

JACK RAMSDALE
Ramsdale has been exhibiting his work since the late 70's He received his MFA from
Cranbrook Academy Art in 1981.  As well as photography, he has created multi- media
works using, sculpture, video and performance.  He moved to Philadelphia from
Toronto in the late 80's. Ramsdale’s recent work was included in the Woodmere Art
Museum’s Exhibition, The Pennsylvania Landscape in Impressionism and
Contemporary Art.
Ramsdale’s photographs bring the viewer into a complex and detailed space where a
quick glance may capture the energy in the stillness. The tranquility of the photographs
contrasts with complex compositions that the viewer can explore over time.
