Artist Registry

The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

To apply to the Registry, click here. Join our mailing list here to receive our open call announcement and other programming updates. For any further questions about the Registry, please contact us at registry@whitecolumns.org.

RESUME

Tasha Lutek

tashalutek.com / tashalutek@gmail.com

Tasha Lutek is a photography preservation specialist and artist based in Queens. Her work is often inspired by biographical events, taking a closer look at patterns of family trauma. In quarantine, she and Sean Spada started the social distancing show-and-tell show Show and Purell, in which participants are asked to share stories about objects they find significant–in an effort to give space to those who don’t typically consider themselves performers. Currently, she is the Photography Collection Specialist for the Department of Photography at The Museum of Modern Art, New York (MoMA), where she is responsible for maintaining physical and intellectual access to the museum's collection. Since 2021 she has been studying music and is the drummer in the bands Modern Flame and Patsys.
