Artist Registry

The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

Val Sivilli Printing with Dolls and C(h)ords

This video is a short explanation of the reasons I print with these really big creepy dolls and strangling them and allowing them to dance with phone cords. These pieces continue to evolve and transform. They have now entered a conversation about what it means to be human, what it means to be an object that contains some of the illusions of being human while being a container for memory and metaphor.
