Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

Integration, 2021, Painting Soundscape
Sometimes I record vocal outpourings of the painting which are very experiential and hard to pin down. In many cultures, suppression of buried emotion is prevalent. Release is often likened to an overwhelming altered state and is shunned. I detour this fear with the use of shamanic-style vocals combined with an intuitive language paralleling the dialogue between emotion and inner language. The goal is freedom so couching the feelings in undefinable utterances circumvents the shame inherent in oppression. My art is not only about what happened to me, how it affected me, and who I am but how that culmination can encourage others.Added on: July 3, 2022
