Artist Registry

The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

Invitation for Senior Thesis Exhibition

2022
Engravings On Saw Dust, Wood Glue, and Petri Dish | 150x20mm I wanted to invite friends and people who've helped me throughout my thesis along with those who I wanted to get to know to my thesis exhibition. I thought making invitations in theme with my thesis piece was a great idea to invite everyone. People seemed very happy upon receiving the invitation, but not many of them came.

Thus Have I Experienced

2022
Preface: Cookie in Progress I’ve been baking a big wooden-foam cookie monolith. The cookie is a dangerous cookie - it hurts to the touch. The cookie will contain a tale about a horse* (or horses)… I will have a horse hoof attempt to slowly erode the tale, eventually the cookie itself. Maybe I will also have little rats eat away the cookie, as they are fast and are great indicators of time. The cookie will lean on the wall. Next to the cookie will be an enclosed space. Rats** will infest the enclosed space. *Horses…: My dad used to do classical dressage as an equestrian. The concept of classical dressage originating from the battlefield to it being treated as a form of artistry… it not being about ‘horsepower’ interests me. ** Rats and horses… they both cannot regurgitate; horses due to their one-way valve– that is their over-powerful lower esophageal sphincter and rats due to their over-powerful seal that separates their esophagus from their stomach.
