Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
I.) My Intentions
My intention is to embed allusive forms into a field. These forms are in a state of both emergence and collapse into a space whose primary architecture is composed of gestures that point to a focused automatism . The past and future collapse into the present. Stylistic and art historical conventions such as Cubo- Futurism and Semi-Automatism are draped over conventional armatures of human, animal and calligraphic forms. Though my creative process is both contemporary and experimental, my work is influenced by Classicism, Baroque, and Mannerism. The images enter into a dialogue between pattern and randomness, presence and absence. I imagine the shapes I am painting to be in a dynamic rather than static state. I am searching for images that exist on the periphery of vision and consciousness—for a path into memory and the subconscious.
I.) The Warp & Weft of an Expressive Field
I am offering a space where past and future are woven into the present. This compositional fabric contains the art historical warp of Looney Tune Cubist Egyptian form underlaid by the weft of expressive digitally conditioned gestures. This is a space knit by memories and projection, both personal and historical.
