Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
I think of myself as a process painter, and the process is always experimental. I make brushless abstract paintings that require steps of mixing, applying, layering and drying.
The paintings I am submitting are from my most current body of work. I’m not a figurative painter, but in this series, the forest of poured paint resembles grass and trees, and the bursts of color, flowers. There is intention in the placement of lines and the quality of the lines themselves, but also a randomness in the way the paint flows or travels down a surface. I look for the tension between accident and design, image and abstraction.
