Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
“Attention, taken to its highest degree, is the same thing as prayer. It presupposes faith and love. Absolutely unmixed attention is prayer. If we turn our mind toward the good, it is impossible that little by little the whole soul will not be attracted thereto in spite of itself” (Gravity and Grace by Simone Weil).
I paint not for achievement but awareness, observation, a certain life of looking and feeling. I am interested in showing care through subject matter and material. It is faith through the dedication of a painting practice. The opposite practice to absence, it is the art of attention I strive for. I work through solitude and longing, yet it is not unhappy to paint, but rather full.
