Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
I am a lens-based artist whose interdisciplinary practice combines photography, drawing, and sculpture. My work investigates the material and conceptual connections between decorative arts, landscape photography, and architectural structures. I make digital and analogue photographic prints and collaged sculptural forms. The work centers the technical artmaking processes with the conceptual metaphors pursued within the work. In studio practice, I connect different concepts of photography, architecture, and archive in the context of my family history as a third generation Chinese-American. Images have a dual function in photographic depth and sculptural surface, engaging visual and haptic bodily systems. By blurring the perception between image and object surface, I am exploring family and cultural archives as subjects to behold through thresholds of abstraction.
