Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
My work is very much studio work. Most paintings appear without any sketch or prior idea. It starts to happen within the painting and it's an exercise in finding something I wanted to paint within that beginning with just paint stains. Recently, not even the size of the paintings has been chosen in advance. I start painting inside a piece of canvas and if the painting requires it I sew new parts of fabric to create more space for the painting to happen. I see my work as an attempt to, through this research in painting, leave an open channel for the things that my mind can recognize. The possible creation of a world where rules are created with each painting.Blue dogs or dogs with humanoid physiognomies, smoke coming out of a man's mouth that can cover the neon sun, the attempt and possibility of multiple movements while a person walks. Within the painting, everything is beyond possible, it is acceptable, it makes sense. As Ansel Krut said: The process and subject happen together. Trying not to think too much. Just let my hand wander. Its like throwing a fishing line into my consciousness.
