Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
Darryl LaVare is a New York City based artist who works mainly in oil paint. Darryl holds A BFA in painting from The Rhode Island School Of Design and has been painting and exhibiting in New York City for over thirty years. The subject matter of Darryl’s work is primarily scenes and people around her that touch and inspire her and she strives to convey deep emotion, her view on human nature, politics, social injustice, and the dark beauty that lies below the surface through her choice of subject, color, brushstrokes, light and shadow, and expression.
