Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
My work is defined as a Painter. I love the challenge of Communicating the 'Life experience' on this Planet using the same tools as 1,000 years ago (a piece of Wood with Pig Hair dipped in organic/inorganic colours placed on canvas). This still allows room for other materials that alow my thinking to be translated into the real (Lucite, Video, Bronze, and more).
I am an older artist that is dealing with the historical facts and movements that I grew up in- The Turbulant 1960's/70's. I use larrger Cultural references as a language of comfort and discomfort as it deals with Race in America and World at large. Within this is a Beauty. A beauty I can no longer keep secret...I must share with others and start the convrsation that I do not see happening.
The above is 1/2 of my balanced scale the other half is beauty in all its ugliness and ecstasy. Dualities they exist in my World and the greater World. Often humour arises as humour invites 'the look' as oppossed to formalities that can seperate a viewer from the experience. I believe in 'Art for the masses' translated as approachable, affordable, and tactile. Art that improves, seeks answers, and confirms 'we' are not alone physically or intellectually.
