Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
Using the ancient medium of wax, I draw upon its innate warmth and tactility—an elemental
connection to human perception. With only a knife, fingers, and fire, images of intention take
form. Dots or lines interweave and fracture into form and color. Fire seals the wax, encasing the
image in stillness and light, like amber. It is an act of preservation, yet the blade carves
channels for its escape.
I see each act of painting as a ritual of en-spiritment and a continuous transfusion of energy, Qi,
and presence into the work. Over time, the surface becomes a wall—quiet and sentient, like
stone warmed by breath. It holds my errors, hesitations, longings, and sighs. Still, I keep
chiseling at it. As if by some grace, I might steal a sliver of light. One that has traveled through
memory, time, and the body, to reach me.
