Artist Registry

The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK

My sculptural forms present poetic conundrums by combining abstraction and everyday objects, such as signage, deck furniture, architectural features, paper reams, display, language, and bricks. I use wood, metal, paper, cardboard, fabric and found elements like building facades to create large portals and small studies for empty storefronts. I reflect and reinterpret our world, from the banal to the lyrical by using formal concepts of scale, illusion, negative/positive space peppered with current concepts and urban residues.
