Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
I am a gleaner, making small-scall constructions and scenes based on literature and real life. The works are often illuminated and have moving parts, activated by the viewer, small electric motors, or musical mechanisms. The works are typically places that give the reader, viewer, maker respite, insight, or terror.
I am an amateur engineer, and an enthusiast of unusual vintage miniatures. I want the rooms to feel familiar and sometimes prefer the exacting nature of an existing object, with the hope that by recycling materials i am also giving form to collective memories.
I build mostly with manufactured items I alter - a vintage miniature umbrella made smaller, for example, and with items I make - handblown glass, a bunk bed, a tiny fedora, as well as real cigarettes, repurposed motors and lights and discarded stage wood and plastics from the Santa Fe Opera.
As part of exhibitions and residencies I have worked with interested visitors and staff to build shrunken versions of places that have significance for them.
