The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK

Vera Saldivar de Lira (Aguascalientes, Mexico, 1993) is an artist working in and around image-making. Her work is informed by her background in architecture and the use of space, and in dialogue with the material realities and social relationships that define the perception and use of space, as well as the production process and materiality of the image. Saldivar works with photography, drawing, framing, bookmaking, and installation to draw attention to process, materials, and the dynamics between the consumption and production of images and space. Her works have been shown at The Museum of the Moving Image, NY, CICA Museum, Seoul, Galerie Biesenbach, Cologne, _Floor, Seoul, among other spaces.
