Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
Bryson Brodie’s art straddles the edges of abstraction and representation. A colorist who works in muted tones that strike emotional chords through the relationships of color; Brodie paints and draws temporal environments that are meditative, quiet, and often mystical. While serenity and introspection resounds, darker undercurrents sometimes lurk. When representation does allow a narrative, themes of mortality, violence, and love surface. Brodie's work deals primarily with the subconscious and one's place in the universe.
