Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
In my work I examine how (mis)information spreads, sprouting through concealed networks of knowledge and figuration. My focus draws on sociological and aesthetic strategies that question the legitimacy of concepts that define what social norms are, such as how our desires are shaped and learned rather than emerging through necessity, or the characteristics which determine individuality. I endow my paintings with an intensity that can be compared to the operation of a love song. My love song puts the viewer in a special state of anticipation and vulnerability. The printed poster is another discipline in which I engage. I am fascinated by the quick and clear communication of this medium and the history of its design, particularly in mid-twentieth century Poland. I attempt to subvert the poster’s manipulative capability with the playful and ambiguous character of painting, inviting a more free, poetic and active response in the viewer.
