Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
Anna McColley’s practice navigates personal identity and memory in relation to cultural tendencies towards religion and technology. She seeks to consider the ways in which secular, contemporary society has co-opted religious models in the creation of virtual worlds and digital systems. Interested in experience and memory, she constantly returns to the same materials to express these concepts – plaster, sand, metal, and etching. Her sculptures and installations present ready-made ruins of the future. She frequently works in series and sequences, and utilizes processes of mold-making, casting, and printmaking to explore ideas through repetition and reproduction. Inspired by ancient forms, her work imagines future relics.
