Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
My artistic practice centers on the transformation of overlooked materials into systems that explore memory, fragility, and collective experience. Currently I am working with donated photographs—4×6” C-prints from the one-hour photo lab era—which I treat not as images to be read, but as material to be shaped. The resulting body of work, Roundels, consists of sculpture, installation, collage and photographs.
The title Roundels refers to both circular forms and short poetic structures. I cut hundreds of photographs into thousands of small circles. Everything is used; nothing is thrown away. Staples link each fragment, creating small metal hinges that allow lightweight structures to grow and flex. The bite of the stapler, like the click of a camera shutter, fixes each fragment in place. The forms often reference organic or cellular systems. Viewers encounter the work spatially, moving amongst work that occupy walls, windows, and floor.
As this project developed, the sculptures grew larger and could no longer support their own weight. I began using my body as an armature and photographing myself and others wearing them. This phase culminated in a series of formal photographic portraits.
Roundels regenerates memory and material into constellations we can walk amongst and clothe ourselves in. Each manifestation of Roundels celebrates this dimensional play, reframing our collective visual history as something alive, wearable, and in flux, offering an invitation to reflect on our fragmented past while imagining new futures.
