Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
I am a landscape and abstract painter. Informed and inspired by observations of nature, my work explores patterns using aerial views of landscapes, i.e. coastlines, forests and rivers. I use symmetrical, asymmetrical, and organic forms that are derived from my environment.
My work is influenced by indigenous peoples, Japanese wood block prints and the work of Gustav Klimt.
I begin work by applying colors to a canvas. I select areas that I want to emphasize. By doing that I can determine what direction I want to take. It’s an exciting time and it pushes me forward to complete the work.
