Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
I am a Brooklyn-based artist working in sculpture, installation and sound. Originating at the intersection of accident and unknowing, I explore themes of interdependence and impermanence while exposing invented constructs by incorporating and subverting materials from the everyday. My willfully androgynous sculptures are often inspired by found objects that I estrange in various ways including through a custom casting process. This object-queering upends expectations of material conventions, reframes notions of value and re-centers that which has been pushed to the margins.
In my large-scale installations, I activate spaces with elemental catalysts such as water, light, heat and wind, producing works that are in visible states of transition and, at times, decay. These provocations confront viewers with the passing of time and call attention to the reality that everything is in a constant dance between unstable states.
