Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
My work includes sculpture, sound, signage, and text. These works are staged as theater-objects that are intended to create relational situations to engage viewers. Many of these works incorporate sound and recently include faces that are provided by AI generation, stock photos, and headshot services. They represent a diverse cast as if for theater, that include varying types of facial recognition and data sources who perform as actors within the work. I have accumulated a variety of faces that I cast and recast like a theater troupe in different works. In combination with the selected faces, I incorporate other found motifs, modified corporate logos, and structures to investigate systems of historical and cultural memory, built space, and language. This recent work addresses Posthumanism and capitalism on many levels, such as data-capitalism and how that augments the formation of our identity, aggregated selfhood, and evokes the digital uncanny.
