Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
Based in Brooklyn, New York, much of multi-media artist Sari Carel's work focuses on translation from one modality to another. Her projects consider interspecies communication, relationships between people and place, and how the senses inform our perception. Also an environmental activist, she is a sharp observer of ecosystems, be they natural or human.
Considering the public commons, environmental issues, and lived experience, Carel looks to build and nourish conversations anchored in reciprocity and collaboration while bridging social, political, and aesthetic spheres in a joyful way.
