Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
During the pandemic, I have had an interest in documenting places of communal gathering, mostly closed concert venues and bars that I remember. These are places I longed for in social isolation, when being enveloped in a crowd still seemed like a frightening proposition. There are elements of film, video games, and other media which inform the compositions and often add to the figurative storytelling which fills out the documentations of spaces. This process involves researching the remembered place and reconstructing it through photographs from my own records, as well as the internet. More recent iterations of this process have involved the ritual of attending a public event, documenting it through photography and sketching, then injecting story telling elements. This process highlights the architectural elements which uphold our community, as well as the ephemeral individuals which make it vibrant.
