Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
Paintings produce their own idiosyncratic light. Translations of an 18th-century lithograph, a bouncing ball, mirrored flowers—break down into the swishes and dabs of a brush. Specificities of touch, color, and scale evoke memories.
My work is in part about understanding the fictions which are established by painting. They are vehicles for versions of myself that consider indeterminate histories and fixations. As though I was staring at a mirror through a stained glass window at a certain hour of the day or interpreting a map written in hieroglyphics.
