Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
Ali Bonfils (b. 1998) lives and works in New York, NY. She received a BFA from Pratt Institute in 2020. Recent two-person and group exhibitions include American Girl Diagnostics, Mery Gates, Brooklyn, NY (2023), Joan of Arc and her Unicorn, curated by Daisy Sheff, White Columns Online (2023), and Below a Grand, Below Grand Gallery, NY (2023). Bonfils’ process starts with different types of diagrams, data tables and occasionally graphic advertising elements. She then digitally collages these displays of information in order to manipulate and circumvent their original intentions. After working on these digital collages, she ink- jet prints them onto canvas where she further distorts the original source imagery through the use of paint, encaustics, fabric, and other various small collage elements.
