Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
My work is about the sensation of becoming familiar with a set of surroundings. I use the framework of the domicile because I am interested in how this setting represents both ubiquity and familiarity, along with mystique and unknowability. Because of this, I use the dimensions of the material, or a site to determine the characteristics of the work. The work features items and surfaces that are commonly found in domestic interiors and everyday life that have a generic, guiltless look, such as blinds, packing materials, or wooden boards. These are combined with scans, photos, or drawings to make collages, looping gifs, or something else. These formats let the work have an ambiguous sense of time.
