Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
My paintings explore the unconscious dreams, desires and fantasies at play beneath the surface of our everyday lives. The work brings together an amalgamation of deeply personal memories and experiences with collective forms of fantasy that emerge from film and television. I try to uncover the strangeness underneath familiar narratives and scenarios and to explore how these narratives penetrate our unconscious dreams and desires. By probing the depths of our dreams and desires, it inevitably brings into play their opposite, the nightmare. These Lynchian contrasts and conflicts are essential to the work, a sense of familiarity with a sense of mystery, fantasy imposing on reality, innocence and its dark underbelly.
