Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
My work evolves from photos and drawings of common objects and scenes from my life and travels. I crop, deconstruct and layer imagery, blending abstraction with reality. The use of personal imagery serves both as a visual element but also as a tool for me to document and remember moments in my life. It is important for me to anchor each work with a recognizable image that suggests a relatable narrative. These common identifiable objects morph from an expected pictorial to an unexpected abstraction through thoughtful use of structure, form, and color. The lattice work of depictions give nod to the familiar and act as the bridge from artist to viewer.
