Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
I make objects, sculptures and installations that explore the relationships between our bodies and the built environment—between emotion and materiality. I am particularly intrigued by the intersection of intimacy and utility. Over time, places where we confront ourselves as bodies, such as the kitchen and the bathroom, come to carry meanings beyond how they are used. I reimagine familiar objects—sinks, towels, bars of soap, tile floors—in silicone rubber, concrete, and steel, shifting their scale, orientation, and context. By collapsing the familiar and the strange my work explores the poetic qualities of functional objects and emotional narratives of home, care, and longing.
