Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
I compose paintings that explore the intersection of digital and physical worlds. Video game heroes and icons are reframed within the context of art history. The paintings are formed a number of ways. Sometimes from memory and imagination, in other instances based on loose renditions of historical and mythical compositions. Some character poses can be attributed to stills from anime or images from old gaming strategy guides. The work is generated intuitively and I am reactive to the process of building up a painted image.
