Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
My work in drawing and sculpture has grown from my contemplation of plants – our breath alone should be enough to acknowledge their vital importance. I am fascinated by how some scientists and philosophers have sought to rebuild a cosmology, departing from an exploration of vegetal life. After all, plants have made our world possible as they link the Sun and Earth.
In their silence, plants are the most proficuous makers of forms and shapes. A sculptor can only learn with and from them. I try to incorporate these lessons as a breath which permeates everything I make. I’m also drawn to establish conceptual relationships with nature and I’m influenced by the revolving history of symbols. My work's primary process relates to the negative and positive, tracing and transfer, dimension and scale. The making of it is a manifestation of how everything is in everything.
