Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
I am interested in how language and statistics determine our understanding of the world we inhabit and how simplifying the complexity of human interaction into percentages evokes an absurdist poetry/reality. At the core of my practice lies an interrogation of manmade concepts such as time and empirical data, systems that shape our understanding of the natural world and the relationships between people, objects and animals.
By splitting empirical data from its original context and fusing it with disparate language, there is a short moment of suspension before the interpretative and symbolic machine begins to work in an attempt to classify and understand. A moment of suspension where contradictions can emerge. This moment of in-decidability/instability is something that I try to hold on to in my works, as if my sculptures resist the logics of classification and would rather follow a logics of sensations and emotions.
