Artist Registry

The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK

My style has grown through experience across several mediums for decades. I work with sculptures, paintings, drawings, assemblages and prints. I try to show in my works: relevant social taboos, often dense, linked to the punk/underground universe or to lgbtqi+ contexts. My works talk about exclusion, belonging, racial, gender, social discrimination, and anti-fascism, especially at this moment. In a world of exclusion, art for me generates dialogue. It doesn't matter who you are, how old you are, or how innovative you are in society. I highlight ordinary people, natural and real bodies and this brings people closer to my work and, consequently, to ourselves.
