Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
In wire, I create the edges of what is not there; in clay, I establish the essence of what is.
I think of my wire constructions as a type of drawing. They are ephemeral objects that suggest forms without literally defining them.
My clay work begins from a silent place deep within me. I am never certain of a work’s destination, but it is always within the boundaries of the vessel. Guided by intuition and engagement with the material, form flows through my hands and into the clay. This process is influenced by the translucent and delicate qualities of porcelain, a response to shapes observed in nature, mark making and experience.
A sense of fragility permeates all my work, offering a moment of observation and nuanced reflection.
